Commissioner for Oaths

We make a charge of £175 plus *v.a.t. for certifying identity for Land Registry purposes.
Certifying documents as true copies of original
We require sight of the original documents and make a charge of £10 plus v.a.t. for each certified page. There is a charge of £40 plus v.a.t. for certifying a Lasting Power of Attorney.
Other Matters
We advise individuals and businesses on a wide range of legal issues, including contracts and trusts to establish whether a legal remedy is possible.
We have a charging rate of £350 per hour plus v.a.t for an initial consultation which is also our minimum charge for taking on a new matter.
An initial consultation allows us to understand the background to your matter, identify the principal legal and practical issues, and advise you on the options available. Where appropriate, we will also outline the likely next steps.
We will confirm the scope and cost of ongoing advice if it is likely to exceed the £350 plus v.a.t. minimum charge. Additional charges may apply at the outset if the matter requires substantial document review, urgent work or advice extending beyond the agreed scope; any such charges will be agreed with you in advance.
If, following the initial consultation, you would like us to take the matter further, we will provide an estimate of our likely legal costs and details of any anticipated expenses or third-party charges. There is no obligation to instruct us to undertake further work after the initial consultation.
All instructions are subject to our usual client onboarding requirements, including conflict checks, identity verification and acceptance of our terms of business. Contacting us does not, by itself, create a solicitor-client relationship.
